Basic Qualifications

3+ years experience building successful production software systems Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Strong software design and development skills.
Mastery of the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages (Java, C/C++, Objective C, Python) and open-source technologies (Linux, Spring, Memcached, Elasticsearch).
Ability to communicate technical ideas with peers and non-technical peers.
Strong fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, complexity analysis and data structures.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong personal interest in learning, researching, and creating new technologies related to foreign languages, linguistics and phonetics. Experience in developing in a Linux environment
Knowledge of speech technologies and NLP.
Knowledge of software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
Clear, professional communication skills able to contribute to team discussions, knowing when to contribute, when to listen, and when to ask questions.
